The Oregon Beta chapter joined in on the pig roast to help our recruiting efforts

In October, we achieved a substantial milestone in the re-chartering of the Oregon Alpha fraternity. The outstanding work of our two expansion consultants from national Phi Psi, Elijah Williams and Carlos Giordani, has resulted in the commitment of twelve young men as chapter members. Elijah and Carlos arrived on the U of O campus just before rush week and proceeded to execute their game plan flawlessly.

Their recruitment plan included many events on campus, such as an informational pizza party, a sports day, poker night, and a pig roast. In addition, several alumni advisory team members joined these events, including the final Founding Father’s Bid day event on October 8, where eight young men accepted offers to become Oregon Alpha chapter members. However, recruitment efforts did not end on October 8, and since then, Carlos has successfully recruited four more colonists for a total of twelve.

We would like to give a big thank you to the Oregon Beta chapter of Oregon State University, who sent a large contingent of members to Eugene to help with our recruitment events. They have a very well-respected chapter, and we are incredibly grateful for their assistance.

There is a lot of work yet to be done, but the recruitment of a solid base of young men of high character was a crucial first step. Our goal was to recruit 8-10 quality new members coming into rush. Goal achieved. Our next milestone is to double the number of members by the end of the academic year.
